

Symptoms
- Mainly on scalp, but can appear in other areas
- Face
- Nappy area
- Scales:
- Yellow-brown
- Large
- Greasy
- Other areas may be red
- Rash: flowy, little-no itching
Usually gets better by itself in most cases within 6-12 months [1]
Usually starts as an infant (below 1 year old)
Treatment
- Loosen flaky scales – Wash scalp with baby shampoo + brush with soft brush
- Can use oil to help loosen. Oil + gentle brush + shampoo
- Dentinox Cradle Cap Shampoo
Avoid olive oil, peanut oil, soap, adult shampoos
Do not pick crusts due to risk of infection
See a doctor if:
- No improvement within a few week of treatment
- Cradle cap spread to whole body
- Swelling around affected areas
- Crusts bleed or leak fluid
